Today was back to school for me. I don't want to sound nerdy, but i kinda missed it. Be aware that from now on i might (pretty sure i will) come here to vent my anger and frustration that the school year may cause. It's tough, i let stuff get to me, so one of this year's resolution was to try to take things as they come and do everything i can to get through them. Let's see how that goes!
I'm pretty sure many of you like to plan your outfits in advance. Not that this was special occasion, but i wanted to look cool without looking like i was trying too hard. Lord, i care too much about this! I'm such a weirdo!
This scarf thing is more of a pareo* i found in my mom's closet. I just love scarfs; the chunkier the better, so this made the perfect summer scarf because the fabric is really lightweight.
When i got back home i decided to treat myself with a yummy banana smoothie (with chocolate sprinkled on top) and a home manicure & pedicure :)

Supongo que si son de Buenos Aires como yo, muchos habrán vuelto hoy a sus respectivas actividades académicas. Por un lado, tengo que admitir que ya lo extrañaba, pero por otro, se que en un par de semanas voy a estar al borde del desquicio total. Por eso, una de las resoluciones para este año nuevo fue tomarme las cosas con calma y tratar de hacer todo lo posible para llevarlas a cabo.
Ni idea que resultará de todo eso, pero siendo el último año, espero poder disfrutarlo también.

Indeed the Pareo gives this look an otherwordly feel. It's the definition of how one piece can totally bring an outfit to a complete other level! It's gorgeous mostly because you suit it soooo well.

Thanks for your comment :) when i was in high school all I wanted was straight hair but my hair used to be FAR curlier- ringlets- and as my hair changed when I was in University it became feasible for me to straighten it all the time. SO i did and for about 3 years it was straight 24/7.
then I got sick of it and wanted my curls back only they were so burned from neglect/straightening damage that I had to treat them all the time with masques and nurture them back to life. Finally i can have the best of both worlds. Definitely teaches one to be careful what they wish for lol! I love my hair straight and it feels so great to wear it that way but I really try and embrace the curls too :)

Sigh, I get excited too when school used to come around the corner every year. Then the assignment starts and I'm like counting down the days to the next vacation. :P
I love the print on your scarf. It's so nice and big it almost doubles as a cardigan/vest type thing. Oh and I'm jealous of your jewelery, any way you can start your own little store? I'd totally buy! :)
How can you get your manicure to paint on so perfectly? I always have to go to the salon to do it, I'm horrible with paint so I usually just leave my nails buffed which isn't bad.

Hydration is key with curly hair because it's inherently dry. The iron is also key! when I first started straightening it there was no way I was ever going to get it straight without the help of the iron. Now it's easier to get straight and I go for a more careless look: I half ass the blowdry, no iron, sleep on it and it turns out ok. lol.
