Long ago, like back in June, i entered a giveaway hosted by missDTM from Twisted Style. Now, i hardly enter giveaways because 1) they're usually for US readers, and 2) i never win anything. But i thought, 'the worse thing that could happen would be me loosing, so whatever', and entered.

To my surprise i checked her blog a week later and i had won! I was so excited because i really like the stuff she was giving away. That's how i was introduced to Created by Fortune. They have the coolest variety of accessories, kind of rocker-chic inspired pieces. Lots of chains, studs and sparkling stuff that makes me wish i would have won the entire collection.

Hace unos meses (varios meses, como en Junio), entré a un concurso en el blog de missDTM, Twisted Style. Uno de esos concursos que hay por algunos blogs donde sortean cosas. A ver, casi nunca entro a estas cosas por dos razones, 1) generalmente son sólo para lectores de EEUU, y 2) nunca gano nada. Lo peor que podía pasar es que, efectivamente, no ganara, así que dejé mi humilde comentario en el post.

A la semana, y para mi sorpresa, vuelvo a visitar dicho blog y veo que había salido ganadora. Demás está decir que estaba contentísima, no sólo por haber ganado, sino porque las cosas que estaban regalando eran geniales. Así fue como conocí Created by Fortune. Tiene una variedad de accesorios increíbles, desde pulseras, collares y aros hasta vinchas, anteojos y prendedores. Todos con un toque rockero, que incorporan muchas cadenas, tachas y lentejuelas.

Pero no recibí sólo lo que me correspondía en el paquete del correo que me mandó missDTM, sino que, como si hiciera falta, agregó un anillo de esos que tienen doble dedo que hizo ella misma, ¿no es genial? Si están interesados en ver qué más de su trabajo, pueden verlo (y comprarlo) acá.

Started the day off with my favorite meal of the day: breakfast.

I've always been a fan of neutral colors. As much as i'd love to incorporate color into my wardrobe, i can't help to be drawn to basic pieces in basic colors. I like simple things, that can be versatile and worn in different ways.

With the warmer weather we're getting it doesn't feel right to wear dark colors, so yeah, this is my take on neutrals.

Juzgando por las fotos de este blog cualquiera puede darse cuenta que lo mío son los básicos y los colores neutros. Por más que me queje y quiera incorporar color a mi guardarropa, siempre me siento atraída hacia prendas básicas y colores básicos. Qué le voy a hacer, me gustan las cosas simples, que sean versátiles y puedan usarse de diferentes maneras.

Con el clima que estamos teniendo estos días, no se siente bien estar usando colores oscuros, así que les dejo mi versión del neutro.

Este último tiempo estuve teniendo más ganas de mirar que de crear; visitando blogs más que estar aportando al mío. Supongo que es cuestión de recargar energía buscando inspiración alrededor.

Free Monday.

Last weekend was a long-weekend, and we kept ourselves pretty busy for most of the time. There was family time involved, live music, having an small opening party at our apartment and of course, lots of food.

On Monday Pat, his brother + girlfriend and me went out for lunch at one of my new favorite places in Palermo called Mott. I've already talked (and posted) about this place, but how insanely do these dishes look? Seriously!

The weather was so beautiful, we're slowly transitioning to Spring, so we've been having lots of warmer days which is great because it means i can get away by wearing less than two layers.

Finally gave on the clogs trend. At first i wasn't sure about how i fell about them, but after seeing them everywhere and the different ways that you can wear them made them grow on me a little. I didn't really think it through, i saw them while walking down the street, and a few hours later they were mine. I wore them everyday since i bought them (on Friday), so i'm already justifying the buy, right?

Creo que no me equivoco si digo que el fin de semana largo nos vino bien a todos, ¿no? El nuestro estuvo colmado de actividades, tiempo familiar, música en vivo de la mano de Tan Bionica, una escapada fugaz al campo, una pequeña reunión inaugural en el nuevo departamento, y por supuesto, mucha comida.

El lunes, aprovechando el feriado, fuimos con Pat, su hermano + novia a almorzar a uno de mis nuevos lugares preferidos en Palermo, Mott. Ya hablé de este lugar en un post anterior, pero ¿no es increíble esta comida? O por lo menos visualmente!

Finalmente caí en la tentación de los zuecos. Al principio no estaba muy convencida, pero verlos por todos lados y de distintas maneras hizo que empezara a verlos de otra manera. Confieso que fue una compra totalmente impulsiva, los vi a la tarde mientras caminaba por la calle, y horas después eran míos. Desde que los compré (el viernes) los usé todos los días, así que creo que ya estoy justificando la compra.

Madero.

Everyone must be tired of summer (and others must be sad that's already over), but i'm really loving the warmer weather we're getting these days.

Pat and i are so busy during the weekdays that we try to get out on weekends and enjoy both of the free time we have.

Last Sunday we went to Puerto Madero. For everyone who hasn't been in Buenos Aires, it's one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the city. It's filled with restaurants where you can sit down, have a great meal while enjoying a gorgeous view.

I love modern architecture, and Puerto Madero is known for its modern city landscape. There're a few older buildings and constructions that are still there, which i love because they make a great contrast with the newer ones.

Of course it couldn't be a complete post without part of the food we indulged in. So enjoy!

Todos en el hemisferio norte deben estar podridos del calor, y muchos otros deben estar tristes de que el verano haya terminado. Yo particularmente estoy disfrutando muchísimo del clima que estuvimos teniendo en estos últimos días.

Pat y yo estamos tan ocupados en la semana que tratamos de salir los fines de semana y aprovechar el tiempo libre que tenemos.

El domingo fuimos a Puerto Madero. Para los que no estuvieron en Buenos Aires, es uno de los barrios más lindos de la ciudad. Está lleno de lugarcitos para comer mientras se disfruta de la hermosísima vista.

Soy amante de lo moderno, entre ellos, la arquitectura, así que es uno de mis lugares preferidos para apreciar todos los edificios que se construyeron en los últimos años. Todavía quedan algunas construcciones antiguas, que sirven de contraste con las más nuevas.

SS: Rachel Bilson.

I couldn't even start thinking about doing a 'Star Style' series without having Rachel Bilson in mind. She's been one of my favorites since her O.C. days. She has this cuteness to her, that makes it almost impossible not to like her.

What most attracts me about her style, is that she has the ability of making simple pieces and outfit look much more interesting than they really are.

Few staple pieces: lots of denim, flat sandals, 'it' bag/shoes of the season, basic tees, loose dresses, fitted jackets.

Nunca podría haber pensado en empezar una serie de posts relativos al 'Star Style' sin haber pensado en Rachel Bilson. Es una de mis preferidas desde sus días en The O.C. Tiene un no se qué, que hace que instantáneamente sientas interés por ella.

Lo que más me atrae de su estilo, es que con prendas simples y básicas logra conjuntos que parecen mucho más interesantes de lo que son.

Prendas claves de su estilo: mucho denim, sandalias chatas, zapatos/cartera protagonista de la temporada, remeras básicas, vestiditos sueltos y camperas entalladas.

Río.

We had the most amazing weather last weekend. Pat and i went to the riverside to have a late lunch and enjoy the warmer weather.
