I've always thought of color as a frightening thing. That's why i probably lean towards grays, blacks, whites and neutral colors, because i feel safe in them. I may throw on a bright colored piece every now and then, but the majority of the time, i just stick to what i feel most comfortable in. Whenever i see people wearing color, i feel kinda envious because it's one of those things that i like on other people, but think it would look terrible on me. I sort of admire them, because managing color isn't easy.

I figured out that the easiest way to start incorporating color into my wardrobe, would be through accessories. Adding a little color here and there won't hurt me, right?

There's a certain palette (if you can call it that), that i've always found appealing, and that's jewel tones. Rich, bold colors that resemble well known gemstones. Here're some jewel-toned pieces that i can totally see myself wearing (if i could buy them).

Siempre le tuve miedo al color. Por eso es que mi guardarropa está lleno de blancos, negros, grises y colores neutros, me hacen sentir segura. Alguna que otra vez, cuando me siento más audaz, mezclo alguna que otra prenda de color, aunque son pocas las veces que eso sucede! Cuando veo alguien usando color, me da un toque de envidia… es una de esas cosas que me gustan en los demás, pero que creo que a mi me quedarían horribles. Los admiro en parte, porque saber darle al color un buen uso no es nada fácil.

La forma más fácil de empezar a integrar color a mi guardarropa es a través de accesorios. Una cartera, una pulsera, un pañuelo… no puede ser muy complicado, no? Una paleta de colores (a que no creo que deba referirme como 'paleta') que siempre me llamó la atención, son los colores inspirados en piedras preciosas. Son fuertes y ricos, y son algunos colores que me gustaría empezar a mezclar con lo que ya tengo. Estas son algunas prendas en esos colores, que aunque no se consiguen acá, fácilmente ilustran de qué estoy hablando.
