Uniform.

I've been wearing this shirt, the white denim shorts and the studded flat sandals (all seen here) like i'm doing a wardrobe remix.

When i'm fixated on a certain piece, i wear it to death; then i get sick of it and move to the next one. It's a healthy cyclic process in my opinion.

En los últimos días no usé otra cosa más que esta camisa, los shorts blancos, y las chatitas con tachas (vistas acá), mezclados con otras prendas.

Cuando me obsesiono con una prenda, la uso hasta morir, hasta que de a poco la voy dejando para pasar a la próxima. Creo que es un proceso cíclico y totalmente saludable.

Something old.

I don't have many pieces that i can consider vintage. I don't think 'vintage fashion' is here as big as it is in another countries, but maybe it's just me that doesn't know where to vintage shop. My mom doesn't contribute to my wardrobe being more vintage either. Everytime an old trend comes back she says "Oh, i used to have so many of those". But obviously (and i can't complain, i do it too), she prefers to have a closet more than a storage for clothes that are never gonna be worn.

Ever since i was a little kid, i've loved this stripped skirt my grandmother had. It looked great on her, and somehow when i see it now it brings back childhood memories. So if i only have one vintage piece in my closet, i'm happy that it is this skirt.

No tengo muchas prendas que pudiera considerar como vintage. Tampoco creo que la "moda vintage" sea muy grande acá. Quizá me equivoque y sea yo que no tengo idea dónde comprar… Mi mamá tampoco aporta a que en mi placard haya prendas vintage. Cada vez que vuelve una tendencia dice "Ah, yo tenía miles de esos". Obsesiva del orden como es, prefiere tener un placard y no un armario donde almacenar cosas que jamás va a usar (no me puedo quejar mucho, yo también soy un poco así).

Desde que era chiquita me acuerdo de esta pollera rayada que tenía mi abuela. Le quedaba genial y cada vez que la veo ahora, de alguna manera, me trae recuerdos de mi infancia. Así que si sólo voy a tener una prenda vintage en mi placard, me gusta que sea esta pollera.

Sometimes i can be a crappy buyer. I buy anything and everything that pleases my eyes and sometimes i end up wearing it only once or twice. I'm currently working on a new shopping mentality: buy pieces that i think i can give a good use, and that are sort of 'trend-less'. I've said a million times that i'm all about basics, so it shouldn't be so hard, right? So far, so good.

Bought this army/military green shirt and white denim shorts last week. I've always loved this color, but didn't think it would look on me. You know those things that you like on others, but hate on you? Well, i ended up giving this new neutral a chance, and it seems like i made a good decision. I don't know if i wanna keep wearing it because it's new, but i've worn it three times already.

Everyone hates Sundays, but i kinda like them. Usually i spend them lounging around the house, catching up on trash tv while snacking on all sorts of unhealthy choices. But yesterday, Pat and i went to see Tan Biónica play. A good friend of ours plays the keyboards in the band, so we couldn't think of a better plan to spend the afternoon.

Muchas veces puedo ser una pésima compradora. Casi compulsiva e impulsiva. Soy de esas que compran cosas que después terminan usando sólo una o dos veces. Pero estuve trabajando en una nueva mentalidad para la compra: comprar prendas a las que crea que pueda darle un buen uso, y que no sigan de manera directa a una tendencia, cosa que pueda seguir usándolas por años y años (?). Por ahora viene todo bien, siempre dije que era una chica que amaba los neutros, así que muy difícil no podía ser.

Compré esta camisa verde seco/militar y short de denim blanco la semana pasada. Este tono de verde siempre me encantó, pero nunca me animé a usarlo. Era una de esas cosas que me gustaba en otras personas, pero no en mi. Mente abierta, decidí darle una oportunidad, y no sé si es la emoción de que es nueva o qué, pero ya la usé varias veces.

Todos odian el domingo. A mi un toque me copa. Generalmente los disfruto desde la cama o algún sillón cómodo, mirando tele y comiendo cosas poco saludables. Pero ayer, fuimos con Pat a ver a Tan Biónica en Parque Roca. Un amigo nuestro toca el teclado en la banda, así que ni dudamos en que era el plan para matar el domingo.

Back to my old picture spot. I was planning on taking pics somewhere else today, since i'd found my tripod, but i realized that the little thingy you put on the camera so you can put the camera on the tripod wasn't where i left it, so… it kinda means i lost it. I'm sure it's somewhere around my house (and maybe my 3-year-old niece has to do something with it magically disappearing), so it's just a matter of time until i find it.

I love these flared jeans. Makes me wish i had more pairs of them so i could wear them more often. I've seen them around a lot, so maybe that will encourage me to buy extra pairs.

I'm making everyone jealous because i get to wear one layer of clothing in January, right? I'm really enjoying the weather right now, but some days the heat can get unbearable. Luckily, we're starting a new weekend, which means free time to relax.

Volví a mi rinconcito de siempre. Planeaba sacar las fotos de hoy en otro lugarcito, aprovechando que había encontrado mi trípode hace un tiempo, pero me di cuenta que me faltaba el cosito que va enganchado en la cámara y en el trípode. Lo busqué por todos lados y no aparece (creo que mi sobrina de 3 años tiene algo que ver con su mágica desaparición), pero se que está en algún lugar de mi casa, sólo es cuestión de tiempo hasta que aparezca.

Me encantan estos jeans anchos abajo. Quisiera tener más pares para poder usarlos más seguidos. Los estuve viendo por todos lados, así que quizá ese sea el empujoncito que necesitaba para adquirir nuevos pares.

Muchos de los que estén leyendo en español deben vivir en el Hemisferio Sur, pero los que no, seguramente estén envidiando que acá sea verano y que pueda usar pocas prendas en el mes de Enero. Por suerte, el clima está siendo generoso con nosotros, aunque algunos días el calor se vuelve insoportable. Por suerte empezó el fin de semana, tiempo libre para relajar y disfrutar.

Within the first days of a new year, everyone comes up with lots of resolutions and things they want to achieve on the next 12 months. I know there're some things i wanna try and change about myself and how i carry myself in life.

2010 was a year of changes; i've achieved really great things, like graduating and getting my degree in Graphic Design, getting a full-time job and transitioning into adult life, but i also had to face some tough situations, and had to become stronger in order to go through them for the ones that i love.

This year is gonna be really big for me (and Pat too). We're getting married in five months, and it feels kinda surreal. Aside that, no one knows what the future brings, so i can't wait to see what 2011 has to offer us. For the mean time we're spending lots of time hanging by the pool while enjoying the gorgeous weather summer's brought.

Me encanta la casa Ayres, siempre tiene algo que deseo tener en mi placard. Desde que vi esta blusita hace unos meses, se me quedó grabada en la mente, así que la semana pasada decidí que tenía que ser mía.

Los primeros días del año son siempre muy similares. La gente se vuelve muy recurrente a la hora de plantearse objetivos para el nuevo año. Yo, por mi parte, se que hay varias cosas que quisiera cambiar de cómo soy y de cómo vivo.

El 2010 fue un año muy raro. Pasé cosas buenísimas, como recibirme de la facultad, empezar a trabajar full-time y hacer la transición a la vida adulta. Pero también me tocó enfrentar situaciones de esas que nunca son esperadas; hacerme fuerte y seguir por la gente que quiero.

Este año viene fuerte, por lo menos para mi (y para Pat también). En cinco meses nos casamos. Muy loco. Me gustan las sorpresas, nadie sabe qué nos deparará el destino, o el futuro, así que estoy ansiosa de ver qué tiene para ofrecer el 2011. Mientras tanto, estamos aprovechando el clima de puro verano que estamos teniendo y aprovechando que tenemos una pileta a mano.
