So sorry for the lack of updates last week. The wedding planning is taking all of the free time i have on my hands at the moment.

Over the weekend we went to visit Pat's brother, who lives a 5-hour drive away from where we live. Didn't get the chance to take a lot of pictures as i had planned. We only spent a day there, so all we did was lay by the pool, eat a lot and enjoy being away from the city.

Me disculpo por la falta de actualizaciones la semana pasada. Cada minuto libre que tengo, lo ocupo con alguna actividad relacionada al casamiento y su organización.

El fin de semana fuimos a visitar al hermano de Pat, que vive en Córdoba. Fui con la idea de sacar miles de fotos, pero logré volver con unas pocas. Sólo estuvimos un día, así que todo lo que hicimos fue meternos a la pileta, comer mucho y disfrutar el estar lejos de la ciudad.

Got dressed for a sunny summer day, but ended up raining all afternoon.

I can tell which pieces i'm obsessed at the moment just by taking a loot at the latest post. I can definitely recognize a few pieces that have been on rotation for the last few weeks. I know i've put myself on a shopping ban, but i really need some updates on my wardrobe.

Since i'm working on a computer all day, i take whatever bracelets i put on, and totally forgot to put them on when i took the pics. Pictured alone on the last picture.

Hoy le erre al clima mal. Se terminó nublando y lloviendo toda la tarde.

Viendo los últimos posts, puedo dar cuenta con qué prendas me estoy obsesionando últimamente. Se reconocen fácilmente las que están de rotación hace algunas semanas. Se que me prohibí comprar por el momento, pero mi placard está necesitando algunas actualizaciones.

Como estoy en la compu todo el día, me saco cualquier tipo de pulsera que tenga, y me olvidé de ponérmelas cuando saqué las fotos. Ahí están, en la última foto.

I have a love/hate relationship with summer. I love it, i hate it. I love skirts, dresses and shorts, and what better season to wear them than summer? I think i should be a more conscious shopper in the future and add to my wardrobe those pieces that i tend to use a lot, or that i tend to gravitate towards often. For me, it's basic tees/tops, jeans (surprise), dresses and high waisted skirts, at least for summer. What else, right? Like if there was something could have left out.

I've been keeping myself from buying anything, and let me say, it's not easy. Everything's on sale! I'm going to the US on late March, i'm trying to hold myself back so i can unleash the hardcore shopper in me over there. Wish me luck!

Odio el verano, pero también me encanta. Me encantan las polleras, los vestidos y los shorts, y esta es la estación en la que se lucen como se debe. Tendría que ser una compradora más consciente e intentar agregar a mi placard aquellas prendas a las que les doy más uso, o a las que tiendo elegir con frecuencia. Para mi, son remeras básicas, jeans (qué sopresa), vestidos y polleras con cintura alta. Qué más, ¿no? ¡Nombré casi todo!

Estoy tratando de no comprar nada, y les confieso, no es nada fácil. ¡Todo está en liquidación! Viajo a EEUU a fines de marzo, así que me estoy conteniendo así puedo ir de shopping furioso cuando esté allá. ¡Deséenme suerte!

New spot.

The hot weather gave us a little break today, so i decided to pair this simple outfit with a cream blazer. I love this color on a blazer, i could be a little late on the whole blazer trend, but i wanna find me some more light-colored, structured outerwear.

I won't be going on vacation until late March, and since everyone at work is away on vacation this month, i thought i could find myself a new spot to take pictures (at the building where i work).

El calor nos dio tregua por hoy, así que elegí mezclar un conjunto básico con este blazer. Me encanta este color, sobre todo para blazers. Por ahí esté un poco tarde en la tendencia de los blazers (sobre todo los bf), pero no me gustaría tener algunos más en colores claros.

No me voy de vacaciones hasta fines de marzo, y como todos en mi trabajo se fueron este mes, me pareció buena idea buscarme un lugarcito donde sacarme fotos.

Time's flying by so fast. I can't believe January is almost over! I've been enjoying the fact that everyone seems to have gone somewhere else for the summer.

For the past few weeks (on/off), i've been having the 'I have nothing to wear' syndrome. Some days i wake up, stare at my closet… stare at it a bit longer, and feel bored.
So i decided that i should do a wardrobe remix, well, or at least my version of it. Try to think about each piece as a single item, and not as part of an outfit. I tend to repeat outfits that i liked, that i feel that work. So generally, i pair certain pieces only with other certain pieces… Well, that made way more sense in my head, so hopefully you'll get what i mean.

I've had this skirt for a long long time, and haven't worn it in a while. I picked it up today and gave it a new chance.

¡Cómo pasa el tiempo! No puedo creer que ya estemos a fines de enero. Este mes disfruté mucho que hubiera menos gente en la ciudad.

A veces me agarra el síndrome de 'No tengo nada que ponerme'. En estas últimas semanas, me pasó despertarme algunas mañanas, mirar mi placard… mirarlo un rato más, y sentir que todo lo que tengo me aburre. Sentí que era momento de hacer un "wardrobe remix" (donde se eligen una X cantidad de prendas y se combinan entre sí por un tiempo X determinado), o al menos mi versión de eso. Intentar pensar a cada prenda como única, y no como parte de un conjunto. Muchas veces, repito conjuntos, porque me gustó como quedó o porque siento que funciona. Y generalmente esas prendas quedan indirectamente 'pegadas' a otras… Esto sonaba mucho más lógico en mi cabeza, así que espero que se entienda lo que quise decir.

Esta pollera está en mi placard hace varios años, y hacía tiempo que no la usaba. Hoy la vi, la agarré y decidí que no había nada de malo en darle una nueva oportunidad.

Summer's great, but when it's 105F degrees outside, everything becomes sticky and messy. Definitely not the best day to be wearing black + 3/4 sleeves.

El verano está buenísimo, pero cuando la temperatura pasa los 40C grados, todo se vuelve pegajoso y molesto. Yo no tuve mejor idea que elegir una prenda negra y con mangas 3/4….

Summer city.

Told you this is all i've been wearing lately. With temperatures that reach the 94F degrees (and higher), creativity falls short.

Today was one of those days where we just went a million places, but with no purpose at all. We made our way through an empty city, and we liked it. Everyone seems to have gone somewhere else for the summer, which for the ones who have to stay, is a nice break from all the chaos that comes with living in a crowded place.

Loving the the mix of darkness/lightness that came out on these pictures. Somehow it adds a little drama to the clothes.

Les dije que estaba usando lo mismo todos los días.

Con temperaturas que llegan a los 34C grados (y a veces un poco más), no hay creatividad que alcance.

Hoy fuimos a miles de lugares, sin motivo alguno. Paseamos, recorrimos y nos movilizamos por una ciudad totalmente vacía. Parece que todos se fueron a pasar el verano a otro lado, que para los que tenemos que quedarnos acá es un linda excusa para despejarse del kilombo que trae el vivir en un lugar con tanta gente.

Me copa que en las fotos se de ese contraste de claroscuro. Al menos les da un toque de dramatismo.
